Map Products with Vendor

Map Products to vendor

CloudCommerce allows retailers to setup vendors to separate products coming from multiple vendors to charge more accurate shipping. This does of course require that products be assigned to a vendor once the vendor is created. The setup is similar to QPU as far as how to assign the products to the vendor. In this example we will look into wildcard, manufacturer and category option.

Configuration

Step 1:Prior to maping products you must first create the vendors, please visit Knowledgebase - Multi Vendor Management

Step 2: Now that the venodors have been created we have to navigate to the map products with vendor page (Modules > Map Products with Vendor)

Step 3: Select the vendor to which you would like to assign products from the drop down labeled “Select Vendor”

By WildCard

Step 1: We can now select products from Manufacturers, Categories or place in a wild card. The wild card would be the fastest way to assign all products from a given distributor to a vendor group, however this would assign all products, including firearms or products which may not be eligible for dropship. It is recommended a second vendor with the same vendor be setup for these products. Wild card can be placed in the wildcard text area.

Step 2. Once the wild card is entered, the product count for the products will display how many products are set to be mapped to the vendor.

Step 3. If you are happy with this setup, you can click the process button.

By Manufacturer

Step 1. In the box labeled manufacturer click on your desired manufacturer. To select Multiple manufacturers, hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard while making additional selections.

Step 2. The number of products to be mapped will update with each click.

Step 3. Once all manufacturers have been selected click the process button.

By Category

Step 1. In the box labeled Categories click on your desired category. To select Multiple categories, hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard while making additional selections.

Step 2. The number of products to be mapped will update with each click.

Step 3. Once all manufacturers have been selected click the process button.

By Product

Step 1. This option works similar to the featured products section. This works on a drill down method, working from top level category down to the individual product. To start select the first level category from the Products Dropdown.

Step 2. If the products there is a second level category, select the next level. Repeat the drill down until you get to a category containing products.

Step 3.  Select the desired product from the final dropdown, labeled as “products”.

Step 4. As products to be mapped are selected, they will be added to the list at the bottom of the page. You can remove errant products by clicking the red X next to the products.

Step 5. Once all products have been selected, click the process button.

Checkout Process

As a customer moves through the checkout, they can add products from any catalog and/or vendor. Once the shipping is calculated, vendors will have different shipping options with products from different vendors grouped together.
