Email ForwardingOne of the advanced features of the OBN email system is the ability to forward email to an alternate email address. This can be for many reasons, one of the most popular is to simplify the email addresses contained on a device and redundancy in event of data loss. Logging onto webmail 1. Navigate to your site’s webmail portal. This can be done in several ways.
2. Log in using the full email address as the user name
3. In the upper right portion of the screen you will see your email address. This is connected to a drop down. Click your email address and select forwarders.
4. This screen will allow you to see existing forwarders, along with add additional forwarders. Click on add forwarder to add a new forwarder.
5. Enter the email address you would like to forward to and click add forwarder.
6. Your forwarder is now setup. Any new emails will not forward to the new address.
Notes: With all email forwarding to a different domain, it is imperative that steps be taken to combat spam or the sending email address, domain and/or server could be blacklisted at the receiving end. This could result in deliverability issues not only for your domain, but also other users on the server.
