Terms and ConditionsSetting terms and conditions is a simple feat to accomplish for users moderately comfortable with the OBN platform. It requires only one modification to a product and adjusting the working inside an information page. To start you will need to review the Creating a product / Adding a new product section and Information Pages section. Modifying the Terms & Conditions 1. Navigate to Info Manager > Information Pages in the right column
2. Locate the information page named “Terms & Conditions” and click on Pencil and Paper Icon to edit.
3. On the next page enter your content.
4. When you are complete, click the diskette icon to save your edits.
5. For more information on formatting text in fields such as this visit our knowledgebase article on information pages. Modifying the Product
2. Click on the title of the product and a contextual box will appear on the right side of the screen Depending on the number of products in the category this may take some time. Once this has loaded click edit.
3. In the status tab, you will see “Disclaimer Needed” with radio buttons for Yes and No. Selecting yes will render the terms and conditions link and check box on the product page while no will skip disclaimer on the product page.
4. If no other edits are necessary to the product, you can click the quick update button to apply the change.
5. You can now view the change on the front of the site. A user will not be able to add a product with the terms and conditions rendered unless the checkbox is clicked stating they have read and understand the terms and conditions. Clicking on the text “I Agree to terms and conditions” will bring your terms and conditions up in a new window.
Notes: In XLEcommerce you can now lock the disclaimer value from supplier updates. Example Image Here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9OrvKatjl7TZUV5aXdZRF9za1k/view?usp=sharing
