Shipping Module

Similar to the payment module, this allows you to choose which shipping services you want to offer. Modules range from a simple shipping tables to integration with FedEx and UPS. This is also where you can set basic values and limits for your shipping such as country of origin, maximum shipping weight, etc.


Location: Admin Area>Modules>Shipping


Shipping and Packaging are highly customizable to suit your business needs. You can install any of the following modules to customize your business needs.

Setting Shipping Charges

In this area you can set basic values and limits for your shipping such as country of origin, maximum shipping weight, etc.


NOTE: Please check with your distributor(s) before setting any modules up to avoid any delay or extra shipping costs.

  • Flat Rate: You can install Flat Rate shipping to enable one cost for all orders using this shipping method
  • Free Shipping: You can install Free Shipping on items that you wish to ship free of cost to your customers
  • Per Item: You can customize the shipping cost, which will be multiplied by the number of items in an order that uses this shipping method.
  • Table Rate: Similar to the MultiGeoZone MultiTable module, only more simplified. This allows you to se shipping rates per item, weight or price.
  • MultiGeoZone MultiTable Shipping: With this there are options to price shipping based on price, number of products, and weight along with varying those rates based on the customers shipping address. This is often already set as your default shipping module but you can edit or modify as needed. There is not an option to choose carrier, however, this option does allow you to change your pricing for shipping.

Enabling MultiGeoZone MultiTable

To begin, you must be logged into the Admin Side of your site.

1. Using the Grey Bar hover over Modules and pick Shipping

2. Once you are in the Shipping Module panel, choose MultiGeoZone MultiTable

3. The page will reload and display the MultiGeoZone MultiTable options. Click "edit" to alter these options.

4. To Enable module choose true, to charge tax on the shipping module choose taxable goods, and finally adjust the sort order to ensure that it does not interfere with any other shipping module.

5. As each one of the tables will allow you set up shipping for a given geographical area, or calculate based on weight, price or count. See Setting Calculations for MultiGeoZone MultiTable below for more.

6. Once all attributes are defined, click

 

Setting Calculations for MultiGeoZone MultiTable

In your settings you will see some like this: 0:8.99,25:9.99,50:10.99,75. Although it looks complex, it is really quite simple. Let's break it down...

As mentioned above shipping table one deals with weight.

That means that the numbers translate to:

0 to 24.99 lbs would be $8.99 to ship

25 to 49.99 lbs $9.99

50 to 74.99 would be $10.99

 

Note: Be careful changing these calculations. A number or misplaced punctuation mark can throw off all shipping prices.
